Mother Adela Galindo was born on November 21, 1961, in León,
Nicaragua, Central America.
In 1990, she founded the Religious Institute of sisters,
"Servants of the Pierced Hearts of Jesus and Mary," in the
Archdiocese of Miami. Their spiritual charism is to be offerings
of love and consolation to the Pierced Hearts of Jesus and Mary
by choosing in all things the perfection and splendor of love in
order to give way to its triumph.
The apostolic charism of the community is to be ardent witnesses
of the power of love and to the splendor of the treasures of the
Church, in order to form hearts for the new civilization of
love, truth and life. "We are at the service of the New
Evangelization; we go out into the deep of the ocean of the
human heart to form them to be homes and schools of love and
responsibility," says Mother Adela.
Mother Adela has dedicated her life to the arduous task of
forming the hearts of men, women, youth and children, religious,
priests, couples, and families—all of whom compose the Spiritual
Family of the Pierced Hearts—to be witnesses of authentic love…
of responsible love. With Marian-apostolic zeal and moved by the
potency of the love of the Pierced Hearts, she teaches many to
walk simply and courageously the path of love with concrete
choices of mature and responsible love and fidelity to their own
vocations in the life of the Church. This mission has taken her
to many countries to teach and witness to the potency of love
and to the splendors of the treasures of the Church.
Mother Adela is able to transmit with a profound vision the
teachings and legacy which the Blessed John Paul II left to the
Church of the Third Millennium (perhaps because he has always
been so close to her heart). If we had to sum up her life in
two phrases, one of them would be the motto of her religious
community: "All for the Heart of Jesus through the Heart of
Mary" and the second would be the existential reality which has
marked her entire life, "loving to the extreme, and choosing in
all things love, so that love will always triumph in the human
heart and in human history."
