The
heart represents the seat of the affections and
sentiments. the Sacred Scriptures reveal the
infinite love of God that created us in His
image - capable of love. Jesus confirmed this
principle Commandment of God: Love the Lord your
God with all your heart, with all your soul,
with all your mind, and with all your strength
(Mk 12:30).
Sin
hardens the heart and allows evil spirits to
separate it from love. Because of this, God
promised, "I will give you a new heart and
place a new spirit within you, taking from your
bodies your stony hearts and giving you natural
hearts" (Ez 36:26).
God
so loved the world that He sent His only Son. He
loved us and and still love us now with a human
heart that reveals the infinite love of God. The
pierced Heart of Jesus on the cross reveals His
love, which is the same love of the Father for
us.
Throughout the centuries, Jesus and Mary have
revealed their Hearts to numerous Saints. Their
lives and the messages that they received from
Jesus and Mary permit us to enter into the
mystery of the love of the Hearts of Jesus and
Mary.
