«Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary your wife into your home.
For it is through the holy Spirit that this child has been conceived in her.
She will bear a son and you are to name him Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins».
All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophet:
"Behold, the virgin shall be with child and bear a son, and they shall name him Emmanuel," which means: «God is with us».
When Joseph awoke, he did as the angel of the Lord has commanded him and took his wife into his home."
 (Mt 1, 20-24)

Solemnity- March 19 - St. Joseph, Husband of the Virgin Mary
Feast- May 1 - St. Joseph the Worker

Spiritual depth And mature simplicity

"He is a man of work. The Gospel has not preserved any word of his. It has described, on the contrary, his actions:
simple, everyday actions, which have at the same time a limpid meaning for the fulfillment of the divine Promise
in the history of man; works full of spiritual depth and mature simplicity."
John Paul II, General Audience 19 - III - 1980
